5 Things I Can’t Craft Without……….

5 Things I Can’t Craft Without……….

There are so many tools I love to craft with but these are 5 of my favorites.  My first favorite tool that I just can’t craft without ‘s my Cricut Expression.  I can make so many designs with this machine from tags to boxes and everything in between. I cut letters from many different materials such as card stock, vinyl, and even fabric with backing to make it pliable to easily cut the material.  I have a cartridge for every occasion, holiday or season.  I cut out designs for greeting cards and also for scrapbook layouts.  My all time favorite is the Artbooking Cartridge from CTMH.  I can tell a huge difference in the layouts I make now since I became acquainted with Cricut compared to the layouts I made when I first started scrapbooking.

My second favorite tool is my ATG gun.  It makes it so easy to glue and attach paper, bling, and other items to each other.  It seems like one quick swoop and I’m done gluing.  It also holds about 30 feet of glue strip so it doesn’t run out as fast as some of the other glue cartridges.  I absolutely love this and cannot craft without it.  I only use a glue pen when what I need to adhere is intricate and/or delicate.

My 3rd favorite item is my paper cutter.  I could never cut a straight line if I had to so, I just put it in my paper cutter and snip, snip and I ‘m done.  My newest one has a swing arm on it that lets you cut up to 15 inches without having to take out an extra ruler.  In the beginning, I used a cutter that did not go past 7 inches so I would have to measure my card stock on my Close To My Heart mat with the 12 inch ruler and I would mark the cut with a pencil.  Now, I don’t have to do that anymore and it makes my crafting 10 times faster since I don’t have to stop and measure.

My 4th favorite tool is my Xylon sticker maker.  Sometimes when you need to glue down a really intricate design like cursive letters the are very slim (2″ max), I like to put them through my Xylon.  It puts a sticky glue on the entire back of what you are gluing down just like a sticker without the mess.  I love it so much that I bought a bigger one so I can paste something up to 9″.  It also comes in handy for small wallet sized pictures.

The last item I can’t craft without is my tweezers.  I really need all of my cricut tool set but, I cannot craft without my tweezers.  One day I was crafting a card and the top plastic piece broke off.  I think it was loose when I bought it.  I then had a very short metal pair of tweezers that was very awkward to use.  I immediately stopped and ran up to the craft store to get me another pair.  When I cut out a design for a card or a layout, I like to pick it up with my tweezers in one hand and then I can align it very carefully with the card or layout.  It makes it so much easier than trying to do it with my fingers.  I don’t drop it and then have to adjust it with my hands.  I can move it around and I can see better where it should land.  After it is in the correct position, I lightly lay it down and it is done!  I use these every time I make something so actually, it should be at the top of my list…..

I can’t do without mine. Especially when I’m stamping. It pulls the stamped paper off of the stamp block without smudging the image.

Great list…and a few things that I don’t use much (tweezers being one of them). I need to give some of your favorites a try. Fun to be in the hop with you!! Have a great day!

You know, it took me a little while to get use to it. It is a learning curve but one I got the hang of it, I love it. I do still use pens for small things but everything else goes much faster with the ATG. You should give it another try and just play with it a bit.
