Wedding Card

I thought I would post a project this morning that I worked on this weekend. It is a card for my step-daughter’s wedding. I made it with left over scrap paper from an old wedding paper pack I bought years ago so I can’t remember the name of it. I used the Art Philosophy CTMH Cricut cartridge to make the flowers. You can shop for this cartridge here.  I also used the flair embelishments from CTMH.  The only ones left are retiring but you can find them here.

I also created a pocket in the front for money or whatever you want to put inside of the card.  There is a flap in the back that contains a tag that is stamped with an old Dots stamp that says, “May every day be a celebration of the heart”.  I used the clear stamp set “The Happy Couple” from CTMH for all of my other stamped images.  You can find that here.

I really love how this card turned out.  It was made in 4 pieces.  I made it 5 x 7 and instead of folding it over, I cut it in half.  I then made the center piece 4 x 9-1/2 and scored it at 1″ and then 4 – 1/2 and 8 – 1/2 and again at 9.  I then glued the front of the left side to the front of the card and then the back side the same way.  I left a little lip at the end of each piece to glue together in the middle.

Please comment and let me know if you like it or what you would do differently.  All of my work is always a work in progress and I enjoy new opinions and suggestions on how I can make it better!  I look forward to more suggestions.
